About 400 persons marched in the Avenida dos Aliados on June 24th afternoon... About the some number walked on the side supporting in a discreet way the pride march.
The march was organized by Clube Safo, ILGA Portugal, Não Te Prives and Panteras Rosa.
Arrail Pride
On the same day the 10th edition of Arrail Pride (organized by ILGA Portugal with the support of the City Council) took place at Praça da Figueira right on the city center, and in the spot where the parade ended.
The first editions of Arrail Pride where also located in other spots in the city center, but the recent editions were at Parque do Calhau, almost in the suburbs of Lisbon. The new location provided a visible mixture of LGBT with the city population but the usable area of the square was limited by contruction work on the place... also for this reason ILGA Portugal decided not to allow PortugalGay.PT to be present with a booth or a car like we did in previous ocasions.
As usual the party had much more participants than the parade and around 2000 to 4000 persons participated in the event that ended at 2:00 AM sharp (deadline decided by the city council).
