Filmado em formato de diário, A Street Angel with a Cowboy Mouth documenta a digressão europeia da banda Rhythm King and Her Friends, empreendida pouco depois da edição do seu primeiro álbum, I Am Disco, editado pela Kitty-Yo. Imagens dos concertos de Estocolmo, Oslo, Copenhaga, Berlim, Paris, Genebra, Londres, Manchester, Glasgow, Atenas ou Roma são complementadas com o lado raramente visto de uma digressão: a vida nos bastidores, as viagens, os encontros pelo caminho. O filme mostra-nos locais associados às culturas underground nas cidades em que a banda actuou, a relação com o seu público, e as colaborações com outros músicos, seja em festivais queer, ladyfests ou clubes de música electrónica. O estilo diarístico torna possível aos Rhythm King and Her Friends reflectirem sobre os seus métodos musicais e artísticos; e inclui comentários sobre as letras de I Am Disco, assim como as práticas de trabalho colectivo da banda. Além de experiências da própria banda, este filme lança luz sobre a actual cena electrónica, apresentando não apenas vários organizadores de eventos musicais, mas também encontros com muitas bandas femininas e nomes com alguma evidência neste espaço musical tais como Robots in Disguise, Angie Reed, Scream Club, Stereo Total, Cobra Killer, Tara Delong & Lesbians on Ecstasy.

Filmed in diary format, A Street Angel with a Cowboy Mouth documents Rhythm King and Her Friends' European tour, undertaken shortly after the release of their first LP I am Disco with Kitty-Yo. Concert footage from Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris, Geneva, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Athens or Rome is supplemented with the rarely seen side of touring: backstage life, the travel, the encounters along the way. The film shows us the different underground scenes the band performs in, the relationship with their public, and the cooperation with other musicians, be it at queer festivals, ladyfests or electronic music clubs. The diary style makes it possible for Rhythm King and Her Friends to reflect upon their musical and artistic methods; and includes commentary about the texts of I am Disco, as well as the collective work practices of the band. Apart from the experiences of the band itself, this film throws a light on the current electronic scene, introducing not only various organizers of the musical events, but also meetings along the way with many girl bands and stars such as Robots in Disguise, Angie Reed, Scream Club, Stereo Total, Cobra Killer, Tara Delong & Lesbians on Ecstasy.
