The first Ovar pride march took place on July 22nd with the aim of fighting for Ovar to become a safe and inclusive municipality, not only for Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and many other outside gender norms, but also, in light of the intersectionality essential to this fight, for people with disabilities, neurodivergent, racialized people, those with low income or non-monogamous living conditions, and many other socially excluded people.
