Pet Shop Boys
Este duo formado em 1981 pelo vocalista Neil Tennant (nascido em 10 de Julho de 1954 no Reino Unido) e o teclista Chris Lowe (nascido em 4 de Outubro de 1959 também no Reino Unido) tem uma carreira de longividade invejável em grande parte pela sua capacidade de conciliar melodias pop e ritmos mais dançáveis sabendo-se adaptar ao passar dos anos e não tendo medo de inovar e lançar algumas "pedradas no charco".
Neil Tennant nunca escondeu a sua homossexualidade e o grupo costuma participar em diversos eventos Pride GLBT chegando mesmo a ter editado uma música em que criticam abertamente as posições homofóbicas de Eminem: "The Night I Fell in Love," do album Release que gerou algum frenezim nos media ;-)
