Gloria Gaynor

Gloria Gannor nasceu em 7 de Setembro de 1949 (com o nome de Gloria Fowles) em Newark, perto de Nova Iorque, E.U.A. Começou a carreira em pequenas bandas de R&B até ser descoberta pela MGM e começar uma carreia discográfica em 1975. Em 1976 lançou o album "Never Can Say Goodbye" que tinha como novidade o facto de não haver pausas entre as pistas sendo portanto perfeito para os clubes e discotecas. No entanto só em 1979 com "I Will Survive" é que Gaynor chegou aos tops. Depois deste sucesso ainda lançou alguns albuns mas nenhum com o sucesso do "I Will Survive" e mantém uma carreira de sucesso com actuações ao vivo.
